New motors now fitted and Tested

Motor up Grade.
We its been a long time in coming but at last I have now done the motor up grade, so out have come the four MFA 850, and in have gone two scooter motors.
These motors are new when I got them but have been striped and had the old windings remove and had new windings so as they will run on a 48 volt set up. I have also changed the esc with have been made for me by Electronize and are standard FR15HX but will take up to 48 volts instead of the normal 24 volts.
The props have also been changed to the right size and are now 75mm in Dia and are from prop shop.
Now I cant take all the credit for this at all, all I have done is fine tune the package to get the best form the boat and the motor set up, the motor Idea was from a close life boating mate Ian who I have got to know over the last 18 months, he has spent a lot of time playing around with these motors to get the best out of them to which he has done.
Ian has been running his boat on 36 to 48 volts for sometime, so in chatting to him over the winter months with both our in put we have as we think now got the best set up for the Severn lifeboat.
I had done some testing on my club lake which was very exciting I must say, seeing the deference the new motors and props have made to the way the boats climbs out the water it does look fantastic, so with beale pack just round the corner on the 6th and 7th may 07 that would be the best way to really test out the set over 2 days to which I have now done.
I had lots of fun with the boat all day Saturday with only a few minor problems which I soon put right each time it had had a good run, this was manly to do with the grub screws on the drive pullies slipping on the drive shafts!! The runs on Saturday were all on 48 volts with a run time on the battery set up of 30 minutes so not bad as I had push the boat hard for all that time.
Now Sunday was totally different, I ran the boat on 36 volts with a fair amount of top speed and normal playing but I ran the boat for a full hour!! With still life left in the batteries for still running around at medium speed, to which in my book is plenty long enough for anyone.
